The re-Source Thrift Shop is part of a group of independent thrift stores which were all created and operate in support of Christian Education. The shops are 100% volunteer run, each with it’s own board of directors. In addition to helping fund Christian education, the shops also support several other local charities and ministries.

Big Sisters Big Brothers Ottawa (BBBSO) supports and enables youth facing adversity to achieve their full potential by providing opportunities for them to form positive relationships with adult volunteers through a variety of one-to-one mentoring programs.

Thrive Select Thrift doubles as a retail outlet and community hub to support BBBSO’s mission.

Thrive will provide opportunities for our mentees ages 15 to 24 to develop a range of important life skills, gain real work experience, build their confidence and begin thinking about their educational and career plans, and help grow existing BBBSO mentoring programs through a sustainable stream of revenue.

As Good As New is a great place to find quality used clothing in Carleton Place and a great opportunity to support women and their children escaping abusive home lives! Run entirely by volunteers, AGAN is an integral part of the community and one of the biggest sources of funding for the shelter and extensive community support programs run by Lanark County Interval House and Community Support. 100 per cent of funds raised go to Lanark County Interval House.

Since 1970 the May Court Bargain Box has been selling a wide range of second-hand “new to you” items that provide an inexpensive alternative to shoppers on a budget, to collectors and to discriminating buyers who are looking for name brands at affordable prices.

We rely solely on donations – sorry no consignments – and we are most grateful to all the generous donors who have helped us keep the store stocked for many years. Friendly and helpful May Court volunteers staff the shop and are always ready to assist our donors and customers who are all highly valued members of the Bargain Box community.
