CSED is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Steve Beauchesne to its Board of Directors.
Steve Beauchesne is an accomplished Ottawa-region entrepreneur, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Beau’s Brewery, Canada’s first ever B-Corp brewery. Established in 2006, Beau’s has won more than 125 national and international awards, and has raised more than $2 million for charity, community and the independent arts. Steve is active in social causes both locally and internationally. He has received the social entrepreneurship award by the Best Ottawa Business Awards, been named Design Thinker of the Year by the Association of Registered Designers, and selected as Community Builder of the Year by United Way East Ontario.
“Steve’s extensive business experience and passion for the community match perfectly with CSED’s mission”, says Elspeth McKay, CSED Board Chair. “This is particularly true as we develop new ways to facilitate social finance and equip changemakers with critical knowledge, abilities and insights needed to advance their social enterprise and social purposes business ambitions.”
