Mission
Helping to remove language barriers in the community by offering high-quality, prompt, and affordable language interpretation services to agencies serving multilingual clients with limited English and/or French language skills. We serve government organizations, private companies, and non-profit agencies in the Eastern Ontario region as well as certain clients Canada-wide.
Language Interpretation Services (LIS) provides interpretation services 24/7 including holidays and weekends to individuals who speak neither of the official language. Offering over 70 languages in Ottawa and the Valley, with trained interpreters in Kingston and Sudbury, and extending services Canada-wide.
We also provide FREE interpretation services to service providers, funded by the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD), if their non-English/French speaking client is a:
• Victim/survivor of domestic violence
• Victim/survivor of sexual violence
• Victim/survivor of human trafficking
Products & Services:
- 1) Language Interpretation (simultaneous, consecutive, whispered): Face-to-Face Interpretation (on-site interpretation); Telephone Interpretation; Video Remote Interpretation; Group Interpretation; Message Relay; and Sight Translation.
- 2) Translation Services: high quality and reliable translation; certified and non-certified.
- 3) Training: Core Interpreter Training - Become an Interpreter; and Sexual Violence, Human -Trafficking and Anti-Oppression Training.
