The Centre for Social Enterprise Development is pleased to announce the appointment of Tobi Awolalu to its Board of Directors where she will serve as Treasurer.
Tobi Awolalu is a qualified chartered accountant with over 15 years accounting experience. She has worked with several public companies across the UK and Canada, gaining vital skills and knowledge along the way. Tobi is passionate about the community and supports local charities either by being on the board or offering volunteer finance work. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and business from Bournemouth university in the UK and is in good standing of the CPA and ACCA.
“We are delighted to welcome Tobi Awolalu to the Board of Directors”, said Elspeth McKay, Board Chair. “The Board looks forward to working together in support of CSED and its mission.”
As part of this announcement, CSED bids a fond farewell to Doug Michaelides and Rachael Belanger who served on the Board of Directors from 2020-2024 and 2021-2024 respectively.
“Our heartfelt thanks to Doug and Rachael for their strong support, commitment and involvement,” said Kevin Holmes, CSED Vice Chair. “We know that both will continue to be champions for CSED and the social enterprise community.”

CSED’s AGM was held on September 4, 2024.
