We only grow native or proven non invasive naturalized trees and woody shrubs, produced from local seed sources that have the greatest chance for success in eastern Ontario.

Our plants meet the needs of foresters, landscapers, land owners, nurseries and conservation minded individuals who want to make sure they are getting the most appropriate plants with the highest potential for a successful plant.

Profits from the nursery are used to manage and maintain the 740-acre Ferguson Forest and it’s 22+ kilometers of public-use recreational trails as well as a smaller recreational green space which houses:

  • a newly-created and still unfolding 25-acre arboretum,
  • Anniversary Park, which offers a waterfront trail, Kinderwood children’s trail, a picnic shelter and a canoe, kayak and paddleboard launch dock on Kemptville Creek
  • The Ferguson Forest Dog park, a 7.5-acre fully fenced off-leash facility with large grassed and forested areas and dedicated small dog area, and
  • Veterans Way Memorial Park.
